Cool Waves
Before we left for the waves of Puerto Rico, a surprise package landed on my doorsteps, chock full of its very own cool waves.
You might recognize these pretties from my post of the NEW varieties showcased this year at Spring Trials. These NEW colors are part of the Wave series this year and they are big and beautiful and SPREAD. In fact, you only need 1-2 "Waves" where you typically need 3-4 plants. My favorite of the series are actually the little "shockwave" options, particularly the pretty yellow! The Easy Wave and Tidal Wave lines offer even bigger options with show-stopping color power. This particular Easy Wave Silver offers a punch of white, without harshness. I planted these plants near our front driveway entrance to give a punch of lightness to darker holly and iris nearby.

This pretty pink found a home caddy corner to a few pretty rhododendrons of the same tone.
They will literally be SPILLING over that bucket by mid-summer!

Last on the list is a deep red velour (Tidal Wave), planted up near the front door for an abundance of red. I will have pictures in fall when it really puts on a show! Until then, check your local nurseries for any of the "wave" flowers and plant wherever you need some serious impact!
